Trump calls for an end to the war at the front line: Zelensky's reaction

U.S. President Donald Trump called on Ukraine and Russia to stop at their current positions and to sign a peace agreement after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The Ukrainian side reacted positively, supporting Trump's proposal.

'The meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was very interesting and heartfelt, but I told him, as I diligently advised President Putin, that it is time to stop the killings and sign a DEAL! Enough of the bloodshed, enough of determining borders through war and bravery. They must stop where they are now,' Trump wrote.

Zelensky, responding to Trump's statement during a briefing, agreed with the thesis of stopping at the front line. He also expressed gratitude for the invitation and called the meeting long and productive, adding that the discussions included a wide range of issues, including defense and arms production.

The meeting between Trump and Zelensky confirms both leaders' readiness for a peaceful resolution of the conflict and a call for a ceasefire agreement. This agreement could be the first step toward resolving the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
