Sanctions against Russia
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree introducing sanctions against 165 individuals and companies from the Russian Federation. In particular, 95 individuals and 70 legal entities have been subjected to restrictions, most of whom are citizens and residents of the Russian Federation.
The sanctions imposed concern individuals and enterprises that have connections with servicing the state defense order of Russia. Among those under sanctions are companies and their leaders that supply products for the Russian military-industrial complex. The implementation of these restrictions will complicate the servicing of the Russian military-industrial complex, which may affect its functioning.
International pressure on Russia
In addition, it is known that the European Union plans to adopt the 20th package of sanctions against Russia by the anniversary of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine. This indicates the continuation of international pressure on Russia in the context of its aggression against Ukraine.
The introduction of new sanctions by Ukraine indicates an intensification of efforts to counter Russian military ambitions and support international security.
Considering the planned actions of the European Union, further strengthening of pressure on Russia by Western countries can be expected, which may have significant consequences for its economy and ability to conduct military operations. These steps also emphasize global solidarity with Ukraine in the context of ongoing aggression.
