Readiness for Finalization of the Security Guarantee Document
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the readiness to finalize a bilateral security guarantee document with the United States. This document, as the president noted, will be approved at the highest level. The meeting, where the results of the negotiations were discussed, took place in France with the participation of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov.
Zelensky emphasized that the document is practically ready for finalization. He also noted the importance of dialogue with the American side, which plans to communicate with Russia. The President of Ukraine expressed hope to receive feedback regarding the aggressor's readiness to end the war.
The Importance of Negotiations for Ukraine's Security
Moreover, Zelensky informed partners about the consequences of Russian strikes, emphasizing that these actions do not indicate a shift in Moscow's priorities. Thus, negotiations between Ukraine and the US gain significant importance in the context of the country's security.
The finalization of the bilateral security guarantee document could substantially influence Ukraine's position in international negotiations, as well as its ability to counter external threats. Interaction with the US, especially in the context of potential negotiations with Russia, underscores the strategic importance of alliances in today's conditions. At the same time, the relevance of the security dialogue demonstrates that the situation remains tense and requires constant monitoring from international partners.
