Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff Meeting Takes a New Turn
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy chaired a special session of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff, focused on equipping Ukraine's Defense Forces and strengthening coordination among the military, arms manufacturers, and the government. For the first time ever, corps commanders engaged directly with representatives from Ukrainian defense enterprises, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), and special services during the meeting.
Attendees included:
- the commander of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces,
- commanders of the 10th, 11th, and 19th Army Corps,
- commanders of the 'Khartia' and 'Azov' brigades.
The discussions centered on procuring various types of drones, ground robotic systems, and long-range artillery ammunition. Funding, contract negotiations, and eliminating delays in weapons deliveries were also key topics on the agenda.
A critical element of the session was the military's feedback on the quality of certain products. As President Zelenskyy noted,
“manufacturers must quickly address shortcomings identified during combat use.”Following the meeting, a decision was made to institutionalize a regular format for these gatherings between corps commanders, arms producers, and government bodies. The Ministry of Defense and the NSDC were tasked with coordinating future sessions.

Zelenskyy also emphasized that he would continue consultations with other corps commanders to refine defense strategy and set priorities for weapons production. These consultations aim to bolster the country's air defense system ahead of the autumn season. This meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities and fostering closer collaboration between the military and the defense industry.
