Meeting of the President of Ukraine with the negotiation team in Paris

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky listened to the report of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov regarding the work of the Ukrainian negotiation team in Paris, where issues concerning the end of the war are being discussed. This meeting took place on January 6 in the capital of France as part of the meeting of the 'coalition of the willing' leaders. Representatives of the American delegation also participated in the meeting, engaging with the Ukrainian delegation and members of the 'coalition of the willing.'

As a result of the meeting, a statement was issued 'Reliable security guarantees for a strong and lasting peace in Ukraine.' During the session, Zelensky emphasized the importance of the issues being discussed and stressed that

“Ukraine does not shy away from the toughest questions and will never be an obstacle to peace.”
The President also expects to receive a detailed report from the negotiation team, stating:
“At the end of this day, I expect a detailed report from our negotiation team.”
