Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed decrees that remove and appoint senior officials in the National Guard of Ukraine. As a result of these personnel changes, Oleksii Leonidovych Osypenko has been dismissed from his role as Deputy Commander of the National Guard, with Oleh Mykolayovych Myronenko stepping in to fill the position. The official documents from the President’s Office do not disclose the reasons behind these leadership adjustments.
Operating under the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the National Guard plays a key role in the country’s internal security framework. In parallel with these military changes, Zelenskyy has held discussions with Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Zelenskyy dismissed rumors about a possible dismissal of Andrii Sybiha, stating that 'reports of the minister’s resignation are nothing but speculation.'
