People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that Andriy Ermak might have left Kyiv for the frontline region without proper approval, although, according to the deputy, he has procedural restrictions. This concerns the trip on July 16 and the meeting with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi.
Ermak's trip to the military: what Zheleznyak stated
According to Zheleznyak, Ermak was at one of the command points of the Commander-in-Chief in the frontline region and communicated with Syrskyi for about two hours. The meeting itself on July 16 was reported by «Ukrainian Truth».
The deputy emphasized that he considers the issue of permission for leaving to be fundamental. According to him, within the framework of the chosen preventive measure, Ermak is allegedly obliged not to leave Kyiv and the Kyiv region without the detective's, prosecutor's, or court's approval.
Zheleznyak clarified that leaving the region is not impossible in itself, provided it is approved. He also claims that the anti-corruption center «Meza» clarified the absence of NABU's approval for this particular trip. Independent confirmation of this information has not been provided in the video.
Request for trips to five regions
According to the deputy, on July 13, Ermak and his lawyers applied to NABU for permission to travel to the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
The basis, as Zheleznyak claims, was participation in the project «Lawyer Plus» and providing legal assistance to the military until July 24. They allegedly attached letters from commanders requesting Ermak's involvement to the application.
At the same time, the deputy noted the coincidence of dates: on the day Ermak was supposed to work with the military as a lawyer, he met with Syrskyi. Zheleznyak suggested that they might have discussed personnel issues in the defense sector during the meeting, although he did not provide evidence for this in the video.
Will the situation have legal consequences
Zheleznyak believes that this trip alone is unlikely to automatically change the preventive measure. However, in his opinion, it could serve as an argument for stricter control or refusal for subsequent departure permits.
Official comments from NABU, the court, Andriy Ermak, or Oleksandr Syrskyi regarding the statements made in the video are not provided in the material. Therefore, the information about the possible violation of the bail conditions requires confirmation from the parties involved in the criminal proceedings.
Earlier, Zheleznyak announced an offensive on corrupt officials due to EU requirements and 90 billion euros.
