Експрес з Донбасу прибув до Рівненської області, щоб врятувати людей.

On September 2, another evacuation train arrived in Rivne region. As reported by the press service of the Rivne Regional State Administration (RSA), this is already the ninth evacuation train this year.

According to the RSA, 22 residents of Donetsk region have moved to Rivne, nearly half of whom are pensioners, and six people have disabilities. Along with them, three pets also arrived.

On the platform, people were greeted by representatives of the authorities, social protection, volunteers, rescuers, and medics. The arrivals were provided with food, first aid, and psychological support.

"Rivne continues to receive evacuation trains. Only in August-September, almost one and a half hundred people arrived to us, all from settlements in Donetsk. Most of them are elderly people or those who require additional care. Currently, over 500 additional places have been opened for internally displaced persons in communities, and another 160 in healthcare facilities," said Sergiy Podolin, First Deputy Head of Rivne RSA.

All newcomers receive the status of internally displaced persons (IDPs), are provided with housing, social support, and guaranteed government payments.

Support for displaced persons is provided by 32 Resilience Centers operating in the communities of the region. There, people receive psychological adaptation, consultations from social workers, employment assistance, and communication with authorities.

It is worth noting that the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko stated that internally displaced persons with combatant status, as well as citizens who have become disabled due to military actions, will have the opportunity to take advantage of a support program related to housing acquisition. The amount of financial assistance may be up to 2 million hryvnias for one person or an entire family.
