Expansion of 'Winter Support' and 'National Cashback' Programs
Starting from December 24, 2023, the capabilities of the 'Winter Support' and 'National Cashback' programs have been expanded to include new partners for purchasing food products. Networks such as Novus, Liga Prime, and the online store Rozetka have joined the programs, allowing consumers to shop more conveniently.
It is noted that in 12 major retail chains, Ukrainian food products can be purchased using the 'National Cashback' card. This will simplify access to quality domestic products for many consumers. Among the retail chains participating in the program are:
- Fozzy Group stores: 'Silpo', 'Fora', Fozzy, THRASH!TRASH!
- Auchan, SPAR, VARUS chains
- Torba, 'Sim23', 'Simi', and 'Blizhenko' stores
- Online service MAUDAU
The last day to apply for the 1000 hryvnias 'Winter Support' was also December 24, 2023. Funds from both programs can be spent on utility services, medicines, books, postal services, donations to charity, and food products of domestic production. It is important to note that assistance is not granted to citizens who are abroad or reside in temporarily occupied territories. The 'Winter Support' funds can be used until June 30, 2026.
Importance of Programs for the Population
The expansion of 'Winter Support' and 'National Cashback' programs indicates the government's desire to support the population amidst economic instability and rising food prices. Involving new partners in the programs will allow consumers to gain broader access to Ukrainian goods, which may positively impact the development of domestic production. It is also important to note that the programs have certain limitations that may affect people who are temporarily abroad or live in occupied territories.
