Ukraine's Women's Basketball Team Advances to Next Qualifying Round for EuroBasket 2027

Qualification for the 2027 European Championship

Ukraine's women's national basketball team has concluded the first phase of qualifying for EuroBasket 2027. The team secured a spot in the next round by finishing third in its group. Captain Alina Iagupova delivered standout performances, ranking fifth among all scorers with an average of 18.2 points per game and fourth in assists, averaging 6.2 per contest.

The Ukrainian side finished the initial stage with three wins from six matches. The Second Qualifying Round

A draw will be held before the start of the second round to divide the teams into six groups of four. This stage will be played in a round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group earning a ticket to EuroBasket 2027. The matches are scheduled for two windows: November 8–18, 2026, and February 7–17, 2027, with each team playing three games per window.
