The Ukrainian table tennis team has advanced to the quarter-finals of the European Championship. Our players managed to defeat Hungary, a previous opponent to whom they had lost several times. The most intense match occurred at the beginning of the match between Margarita Pesoцka and Georgina Pota, where the Ukrainian won with a score of 3:1.
It is worth noting the confident victories in the subsequent matches and the overall successful performance of our athletes. In the quarter-finals, the team will meet either the team from Portugal or Luxembourg.
At the European Youth Olympic Festival, Ukraine showed impressive results, winning 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals, finishing 10th in the overall standings. Most of our athletes' awards were won in judo, swimming, athletics, taekwondo, shooting, artistic gymnastics, and table tennis, which raised the prestige of Ukrainian sports on the international level.
