'Highlander' Star Hospitalized After Fainting at Fan Expo

Christopher Lambert, the 69-year-old actor known for playing Connor MacLeod in the movie 'Highlander,' collapsed while talking with fans on Saturday at the Steel City Comic-Con in Pittsburgh. The incident became public on August 11, 2026. Emergency responders were called, and Lambert was transported to a hospital. The original movie has long had a devoted following, so news about its star draws attention from fans around the world.

Lambert's representative later said the actor is now resting in his hotel room. The rep suggested the fainting spell may have been caused by low blood sugar, noting that Lambert had gotten very little sleep and had eaten almost nothing that day. This is not the first time the star has faced health problems:

  • The previous year, Lambert hurt his back after falling down stairs at a hotel.
  • Because of that injury, he had to cancel his appearance at the SciFiWorld festival in Sweden.

Page Six also reported on the incident.

This episode underscores how important health and well-being are for celebrities, especially during events that demand significant physical and emotional energy.

It also serves as a reminder of the need for proper rest and nutrition, particularly for older people who often cope with various medical issues. We hope Christopher Lambert recovers quickly and returns to an active life.
