Liverpool star dies in car accident

Footballer Diogo Jota died in a terrible car crash. He was a member of 'Liverpool' and the Portugal national team. The tragedy occurred in the province of Zamora on the A-52 road near the municipality of Palaz de Sanabria. This information was published by 'Glavkom', citing Marca.



It is reported that the car, in which 28-year-old Jota and his 26-year-old brother Andre were traveling, veered off the road and caught fire. Witnesses claim that the fire quickly engulfed the car and spread to the surrounding vegetation.


The emergency service 112 arrived promptly at the scene, but it was not possible to save the footballer and his brother. Diogo Jota and his wife Rute Cardoso had three children.



Jota's Life and Career


During his career, Jota played for several teams, including 'Pacos de Ferreira', 'Porto', 'Atletico', and 'Wolverhampton', and since 2020 he has played for 'Liverpool' (182 matches, 65 goals and 26 assists). He made nearly fifty appearances for the Portugal national team, scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists.
