Camavinga Left Out of France's National Team
Eduardo Camavinga, the 23-year-old midfielder for Real Madrid, was not included in France's squad for the 2026 World Cup. National team coach Didier Deschamps attributed the decision to a difficult and chaotic club season, during which the player suffered injuries and frequently found himself on the bench.
In the meantime, Camavinga seized an alternative opportunity by completing a short-term course at Harvard Business School in the United States, where he studied business within the entertainment, media, and sports industries.

During the course, Camavinga shared photos from the Harvard campus online and showcased a certificate confirming his successful completion of the program. He expressed gratitude for the experience, stating:

Camavinga, who played 49 minutes in the 2022 World Cup final in Qatar against Argentina, last appeared for the national team in a March 2026 friendly match against Colombia. France's 2026 World Cup roster consists of 26 players. The national team's training base, located at Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, sits just five miles from where Camavinga studied in Cambridge, a suburb of Boston.
