Military Ombudsman Olga Reshetilova believes that the crimes committed by Russia during the war with Ukraine have become the most documented in the world. A certain part of these crimes will be examined by the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression.
It was also stated that since 2016, Olga Reshetilova has been engaged in documenting war crimes. According to her, a significant amount of evidence has already been collected and processed. Even despite the complications of work due to the suspension of crime recording programs, Ukrainian law enforcement and international organizations have provided a sufficient evidentiary base for further judicial proceedings.
Reshetilova believes that some of Russia's crimes will be reviewed by the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine. For Ukraine, it is important not only to hold those responsible accountable but also to ensure the right to the truth for the victims.
Olga Reshetilova emphasized that an important victory is holding the guilty accountable and ensuring the right to the truth, which is key to remembering the war and preventing future conflicts.
