Odesa is once again at the center of a scandal – the former mayor of the city, Hennadiy Trukhanov, has been informed of suspicion of official negligence that led to the death of people. Journalist Iryna Hryb reported that the prosecutor's office of the Odesa region announced the suspicion against the former mayor. It is expected that a decision will be made regarding the preventive measures for Trukhanov, and the detention of other officials as well as the issuance of new suspicions is possible.
According to 'Ukrainska Pravda', two more deputy mayors of Trukhanov have been charged with official negligence for failing to take necessary measures during the flood at the end of September.
