Russian occupiers are using the tactic of small assault groups in the Pokrovsk direction. Officer of the 'Rubizh' brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine Volodymyr Chernyak believes that Russian troops will have to change their assault tactics due to worsening weather conditions. He asserts that the Russians are using small groups of infantry trying to attack Ukrainian positions after gathering a medium-sized assault group.
“The weather is starting to change sharply towards autumn. And all the tactics that the Russian Federation applied in the Pokrovsk direction were tied to warm weather, to the active use of greenery,” emphasized Chernyak.
In bad weather, even drones will not be able to fly, which will complicate reconnaissance. Regardless of the type of drones, poor visibility and signal will become obstacles in achieving their goals.
If the weather conditions worsen in the combat zone, Russian troops will have to adjust their tactics of conducting combat operations, which may affect the course of military operations in this region.
