Happy Outcome in Zhytomyr Oblast: Missing 18-Month-Old Found Unhurt
A frantic overnight search in the Zhytomyr region of northern Ukraine ended safely when rescuers located an 18-month-old boy alive and well. The child vanished during a family outing along the Irsha River in the village of Dvorishche. Response teams deployed around 100 people, a service dog, 11 vehicles, and a drone to look for him. They covered 15 hectares of forest and 4 square kilometers of the river's water area before finding the toddler unharmed. He was reunited with his parents and then taken to the hospital for a check-up.
This successful mission showcases how emergency services and local residents can work together under pressure. It also underscores the importance of keeping a close eye on small children when spending time outdoors near water.
