At the beginning of November, active harvesting began in Ukraine, and statistics as of November 21 show impressive figures. Over 50 million tons of grain crops have been harvested, covering more than 10 million hectares of sown fields. And this is not the end, as only 88% of the sown area has been threshed. The harvest of wheat, barley, peas, and corn, as well as other grains and legumes, stands out particularly.
The leaders of the harvest are Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions, where the highest yields have been collected. Oil crops are also not lagging behind: 92% of the sown area for sunflowers has been harvested, 96% for soybeans, and the collection of rapeseed has already been completed, which pleases producers and consumers.
The figures regarding sugar beets are also impressive – nearly 10 million tons have been harvested on almost 200 thousand hectares. This indicates a successful season and promises good results for farmers and the country’s economy.
