Appointment of Zoryana Stetsiuk
The Ukrainian government has appointed Zoryana Stetsiuk as the new State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense. In this role, she will oversee the Ministry’s administrative apparatus, ensuring its smooth operation and driving institutional growth. Stetsiuk brings over a decade of public service experience and previously served as Director of the Ministry of Defense’s Directorate.
Background and Responsibilities
During her tenure at the Ministry of Defense Directorate, Stetsiuk was instrumental in building new institutional capacities and centers, advancing digital transformation, reforming internal workflows, and spearheading various modernization initiatives. Additionally, she led the public services reengineering directorate at the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. Since July 2025, she also held the position of Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation.
As State Secretary, her primary objectives will include:
- Enhancing management processes and strengthening teams,
- Coordinating activities across structural subdivisions,
- Ensuring continuity in leadership and operations,
- Creating conditions for uninterrupted and stable Ministry functions.
