The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is creating a new type of troops - unmanned aerial systems for air defense. Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi emphasized the importance of protecting civilians and critical infrastructure from enemy air attacks, stressing that this is a priority for the government and the Armed Forces.
«We are already in the process of creating a new type of troops in our Air Force - these are unmanned aerial systems for air defense», - noted Syrskyi.
The new unmanned systems include interceptor drones, which effectively destroy enemy «shaheds» and enhance electronic warfare capabilities. The number of combat helicopters is also being increased in the Air Force.
New assault troops and Unmanned Systems Forces
Ukraine is also preparing to establish separate assault troops that will cooperate with the Airborne Assault Forces and will have an unmanned component. To enhance the effectiveness of troop management and meet modern requirements, the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been formed.
The Ukrainian Air Force is actively developing new unmanned systems for air defense and preparing to create assault troops that will have an unmanned component. This will enhance the effectiveness of the country's defense against enemy air threats.
