Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian Military Arsenal and Factory in Overnight Attacks

В нічних операціях українські сили завдали удару по російським складам озброєнь та виробничим потужностям.

Ukrainian Military Strikes

In overnight attacks on February 12, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) targeted several sites within Russia and in occupied territories. These strikes are part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign to degrade Russian military logistics and industrial capacity deep behind the front lines. The confirmed targets included:

  • An arsenal belonging to Russia's Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) of the Ministry of Defense in the Volgograd region;
  • A factory in the Tambov region;
  • Ammunition depots in the Zaporizhzhia region;
  • An oil refinery (NPR) in Volgograd.

The strike on the GRAU arsenal, located near the settlement of Kotluban in Volgograd region, was carried out using long-range FP-5 Flamingo munitions. AFU leadership confirmed powerful explosions at the site, followed by secondary detonations. The full extent of the damage is currently being assessed.

Additionally, the attacks successfully hit the Progress plant in Michurinsk (Tambov region) and ammunition depots in the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region, near the settlements of Terpinnya and Rozivka. The strike on the Volgograd Oil Refinery, which was conducted on February 11, was also confirmed successful. Critical damage was inflicted on the ELOU-AVT-1 primary oil processing unit and components of the AVT-3 unit at this facility. As a result, operations at other related processing units have been reduced or halted entirely.

Confirmed Targets

  • GRAU Arsenal (Volgograd region),
  • Progress Plant (Tambov region),
  • Ammunition Depots (Zaporizhzhia region),
  • Volgograd Oil Refinery.

These strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrate the continuation of active combat operations and strategic attacks on enemy military infrastructure. Reducing Russia's ammunition production and storage capacity could significantly impact the Russian army's ability to conduct operations in the conflict zone. In the context of a protracted war, such actions carry both military and psychological weight for both sides. Monitoring the subsequent developments is crucial, as they have the potential to influence the broader course of the conflict.
