Ukrainian Military Operations
On the night of February 24, 2026, and on February 23, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched concentrated strikes against Russian military command posts, logistics hubs, and repair infrastructure in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia oblasts. These operations were carried out using ATACMS ballistic missiles, a long-range precision weapon system provided by Western allies.
Attack Results
The strikes successfully hit the following targets:
- An auxiliary command post of the Russian 5th Combined Arms Army, located near Novopetrykivka in Donetsk Oblast;
- A logistics supply depot for the Rubicon center unit, situated near Vasylivka in Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- An ammunition and supply depot in the Pryazovske area of Donetsk Oblast;
- An ammunition storage site on the outskirts of Oleksandrivka, Zaporizhzhia Oblast;
- A repair base in the Yakymivka district, Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
In a separate attack on February 23 in the Udachne area, a command-observation post and a drone control point were destroyed. Another drone control point was eliminated near Pokrovsk. The final scale of the damage and Russian casualties are still being assessed.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces states that the defense forces will continue to systematically strike the command posts, logistical facilities, and repair infrastructure of the Russian aggressor.
These strikes are part of ongoing active combat in eastern Ukraine, where Ukrainian forces are working to degrade the enemy's military infrastructure. Targeting key command and logistics nodes is a critical component of Ukraine's defense strategy, as it can significantly hinder the Russian military's operational effectiveness in the region.
