The Security Service of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully conducted a special operation at the Mariyanovka airfield in the Volgograd region. As a result, two Russian Su-34 bombers were destroyed, and another two were damaged. Russian fighters are widely used for bombing along the frontline, particularly for dropping precision-guided bombs.
Special Operations Forces together with the Security Service used drones to attack Russian fighters. These attacks also caused a fire in the technical zone of the enemy airfield, which is key for preparing aircraft for flights and servicing them, representatives of the Security Service reported.
The full-scale war has been going on for already 1220 days, during which the Ukrainian military has been effectively opposing the enemy. Enemy attacks on civilians do not cease, but Ukrainian defenders are ready to repel any attempts by the enemy to advance deeper into the territory of the country.
Context of aggression
In recent days, the enemy has increased the intensity of hostilities, conducting more than 60 air strikes, 4536 shellings, and using over 2500 kamikaze drones for attacks. Recent events indicate a rise in tensions in eastern Ukraine and attempts by the enemy to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian troops.
