Three Actresses Exit Kvartal 95 Studio, Including Anastasiia Orudzhova
Anastasiia Orudzhova Departs from Kvartal 95
According to Главком: Ukrainian comedian Anastasiia Orudzhova has announced she is leaving the Kvartal 95 studio after eight years of collaboration. In an Instagram post, the performer explained that it was time for her to move forward, noting that 'every story has its beginning and end'. Joining Orudzhova in the departure are Iryna Soponaru and Alina Blazhkevych.
Orudzhova rose to prominence through her participation in the comedy project Liha Smikhu (League of Laughter), where she performed as part of the team Trio Rizni (Trio Different). She was also a core cast member of the Women's Quarter (Zhinochyi Kvartal) since its launch in 2018. Her exit comes amid broader changes within the studio's lineup, following the earlier departure of Olena Kravets at the start of the full-scale war.
Studio Lineup Undergoes Shifts
Kvartal 95 continues to operate, but these roster changes are sparking discussion among Ukrainian comedy fans. Beyond Orudzhova, Soponaru, and Blazhkevych choosing to pursue careers outside the studio, Olena Kravets also left Kvartal 95-specifically in the wake of a controversy involving a program on the Dom TV channel. These events signal that the collective is undergoing significant transformation, leaving the studio's future direction uncertain.
The departures of Orudzhova and the other actresses can be seen as a pivotal moment for Kvartal 95, reflecting a shift in its creative focus and adaptation to new circumstances. It remains unclear how these changes will affect the studio's ongoing popularity, its projects, or the broader comedy scene in Ukraine. At the same time, audiences and fans can watch for new opportunities that may open up for these performers as they embark on different career paths.
