Ukraine's UN Envoy Rejects Russian Historical Claims, Vows Kyiv's Eternal Resilience

According to Главком: During a UN Security Council meeting on February 24, Ukraine's Permanent Representative, Andriy Melnyk, delivered a forceful rebuttal to the Russian Federation's assertions of a historical unity between Ukrainians and Russians. He categorically rejected these claims and refuted the accusations leveled by the Russian delegation. Melnyk also asserted that Kyiv 'will stand for another thousand [years]. It will prosper, remain undefeated, and Russia will not succeed in subjugating it.' Concluding his speech, he called on the Russian side to withdraw its troops from Ukraine, declaring: 'So take your greatcoats – and get out of Ukraine!'
