Ukrainian juniors have won a number of medals at the World Cup in finswimming
According to Спортивний комітет: The Ukrainian team confidently announced itself at the junior World Cup in finswimming held in an indoor pool in Hungary. Young athletes competed in various age categories and won a solid number of medals - from personal victories to successful relays.
Gold in individual events was won by:
- Ihor Kotov - 50 m, 100 m, fins (category D)
- Ivan Piholenko - 200 m, underwater swimming (category C)
- Mark Ovcharenko - 200 m, 400 m, fins (category D)
- Maxym Pahalovych - 100 m, fins (category D)
Silver medals were awarded to: Illaria Kyriyaka, Vasyl Borodavkin, Mark Ovcharenko, Maxym Pahalovych, Ihor Kotov, Ivan Piholenko, Maia Menchak and Artem Tahhan - overall in various distances in fins and bi-fins in categories C and D.
Bronze medals were added to the team's treasury by: Mark Ovcharenko, Vasyl Borodavkin, Yelyzaveta Yemelyanenko, Maria Kachna, Kyrylo Bakshun, Ivan Piholenko, Tymofii Pashyn and Maxym Husev.
The team events were equally strong among club teams:
- Category D, mixed 4×50:
- Gold: Aqualeader 1 - Vasyl Borodavkin, Illaria Kyriyaka, Maxym Pahalovych, Maia Menchak
- Bronze: Kharkiv-Donetsk Finswimming Club 1 - Ihor Kotov, Sofia Kozlova, Roman Klymenko, Veronika Sereda
- Category C, 4×100 (boys/girls), Aqualeader 1:
- Gold: Ivan Piholenko, Kyrylo Bakshun, Tymofii Pashyn, Mykhailo Kvitko
- Silver: Yeva Aliieva, Myroslava Dvoinina, Karolina Bulgakova, Yelyzaveta Yemelyanenko
- Category C, mixed 4×50, Aqualeader 1:
- Gold: Yaroslav Pustovyi, Karina Zadorozhna, Kyrylo Bakshun, Yeva Aliieva
