Strikes on Balakliia, Odesa, and Dnipro Claim Lives and Injure Dozens

Attacks in Balakliia and Odesa

According to Главком: Russian forces launched a drone assault on the central part of Balakliia, a town in the Kharkiv region. Four impacts were recorded, including one that struck a private residential house. The explosion killed a 60-year-old woman. Two other people were injured and hospitalized. Local official Vitaliy Karabanov reported:

“At this moment, the fourth strike from an enemy drone has been confirmed. One of them hit a private home.” - Vitaliy Karabanov

The attacks extended beyond Balakliia. In Odesa, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure came under fire. A three-story apartment building was hit, destroying several apartments and sparking a fire. These strikes resulted in two deaths and 14 injuries. Over 140 emergency responders were deployed to manage the aftermath in Odesa.

Dnipro Under Attack

During the night of April 23, Russian forces also targeted Dnipro. In one high-rise building, apartments from the 6th to the 9th floors were destroyed in a single stairwell. Water, gas, and electricity supplies were cut off as a result. Vitaliy Karabanov emphasized:

“All relevant services are working around the clock to provide immediate assistance and address the consequences of the enemy attacks.” - Vitaliy Karabanov

Authorities are urging residents to stay in shelters until the all-clear is given, as the threat of further strikes persists.
