Coordinated Strike Hits Ukrainian Capital

According to Прокуратура Київ: On the morning of April 16, 2026, the city of Kyiv was subjected to a combined attack by the Russian Federation. This assault, which is part of the ongoing war in Eastern Europe, resulted in the deaths of four people. The victims include a 12-year-old child and a woman in the Podilskyi district, as well as two security guards at a car dealership in the Obolonskyi district. In response to these events, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime resulting in loss of life, under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
