Audit of Business Implementation: 35% of Cases Closed Due to Lack of Evidence
The Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravenko reported that an audit of more than 23 thousand criminal cases in the business sector was conducted. In 35% of cases, a decision was made to close the case due to insufficient justification of violations and prospects in court.
'This work is to protect honest entrepreneurs and punish those who are responsible to the law. Everyone is equal before the law. There are no 'friends' or 'strangers'. If you act honestly, we will protect you. If you violate the law, there will be responsibility,' emphasized Kravenko.
According to the prosecutor, businesses lacked guarantees of protection from the prosecutor's office. Therefore, the 'StopPressure' portal was created for requests and operational responses.
