Former Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov was noticed at a conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine in Rome. Footage with the former official was published by the channel 'Novini.LIVE', reports 'Gromadske'.

Together with him at the event No Security – No Recovery as part of the fourth conference on Ukraine's recovery URC2025 was journalist, former people's deputy, and former head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure Mustafa Nayem.

In the published footage, the politicians were happily conversing with each other.

According to media reports, in 2017 Arsen Avakov became the owner of a villa on the Mediterranean coast in Italy, which has 26 rooms in a building with an area of 566 square meters. After this information became known, the minister stated that this property is used for a tourist project by his wife through the company Avitalia S.R.L, which she owns.

It is also known that the Avakov family owns one of the largest hazelnut orchards covering an area of 900 hectares. Arsen Avakov, his wife Inna, and business partner Igor Kotvitsky became owners of LLC 'Carpathian Golden Nuts' in the Zakarpattia region.

The participation of Arsen Avakov and Mustafa Nayem at the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine in Rome indicates the interest of former Ukrainian politicians in the process of rebuilding the country and its infrastructure. This may indicate their desire to remain active in public life and support initiatives aimed at the further development of Ukraine.
