According to ХВИЛЯ: In Ukraine, men aged 25 to 60 are subject to mobilization according to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 1487, adopted on December 30, 2022. According to this resolution, the automatic change of military registration status occurs without the physical participation of the citizen, which means that changes are made without the need for personal appeals from men to the relevant authorities.

Recruitment centers have 30 days from the moment a person reaches the age of 25 to make changes to the register. It is important to note that the automatic change of registration data is not an immediate mobilization but merely a formal update of status. This emphasizes that not all men who have reached this age will be mobilized immediately, as the mobilization process has its stages and conditions.

Basic general military training

Additionally, starting from September 1, 2025, basic general military training (BGMT) will be introduced for citizens aged 18 to 25. This innovation aims to prepare young people for military service and strengthen the country's defense capability. Thus, the system of military registration and mobilization in Ukraine continues to evolve, taking into account the state's need for security.

It is also worth noting that the category of conscripts, military personnel, soldiers, or reservists includes men aged 25 to 60. The importance of this process for the state and society remains high in the face of modern challenges.
