Automotive Market of Ukraine: Kyiv Leads in New Car Sales, Lviv Region Dominates Imports

Kyiv and Lviv Region: auto market
Київ залишається лідером за обсягом продажу нових автомобілів, тоді як Львівська область займає провідні позиції в імпорті авто.

November Statistics of Ukraine's Automotive Market

According to ХВИЛЯ: November statistics from the automotive market of Ukraine indicate three segments of activity: the domestic market, the import of used cars, and the sale of new vehicles. Kyiv is the leader in the segment of new car sales, holding nearly 40% of the new car market. At the same time, the Lviv region dominates the import of used cars, becoming the main gateway for foreign vehicles entering the country.

According to the data, Kyiv ranks second in the consumption of used cars, indicating the activity of the capital's residents in this market segment. Together withDnipro, Kyiv region, Lviv region, and Odesa region, Kyiv barely competes in volumes of new car sales, confirming the significant role of the capital in the country's automotive infrastructure.

Growth of Online Transactions and Market Adaptation

It is also worth noting that 25% of used car purchase and sale transactions are made online. This indicates a growing trust in digital services, as noted by Ostap Novytskyi. The rise in popularity of online transactions may signify changes in consumer habits and the market's adaptation to new technologies.

Thus, the automotive market of Ukraine demonstrates activity across all three segments, with Kyiv leading in new car sales and Lviv region occupying leading positions in the import of used vehicles.

“Data analysis indicates that the Ukrainian automotive market continues to adapt to new conditions, especially in the context of the growing popularity of electronic transactions.” - Ostap Novytskyi

This may indicate economic changes and a growing trust in new technologies, which, in turn, could positively influence the further development of the market. It remains to observe the trends in imports and consumption of vehicles, as they may affect the overall economic landscape of the country.
