Petition to the President of Ukraine

According to Главком: The Batkivshchyna Party, together with activists of the #SaveFOP movement, have prepared a petition to the President of Ukraine calling for a moratorium on the adoption of legislation that increases the tax burden for small entrepreneurs. This initiative also includes promoting bill No. 14295, which proposes a moratorium on tax increases for individual entrepreneurs (FOPs).

The petition is posted on the pdv-fop.net website. The leader of the Batkivshchyna Party, Yulia Tymoshenko, emphasized that a third of small businesses in Ukraine will not withstand the introduction of value-added tax (VAT) for FOPs. According to her:

“The introduction of VAT for FOPs is the death of the middle class and a threat to economic stability in Ukraine.” – Yulia Tymoshenko

Tymoshenko also noted that:

“The protection of FOPs is a matter of principle, as my team was the one who introduced and developed the simplified taxation system for small businesses.” – Yulia Tymoshenko

Support for the Initiative

Head of #SaveFOP, Serhiy Dorotysh, supports this initiative and believes that a moratorium on tax increases will be an important step towards preserving small businesses in Ukraine. The proposed changes can help entrepreneurs withstand economic difficulties and ensure stability in the business environment.

This initiative comes against the backdrop of active discussions regarding tax policy in Ukraine, particularly about the need to support small businesses in the context of economic instability caused by the pandemic and other factors. If the petition gains support, it could lead to significant changes in the tax system that would affect the activities of thousands of entrepreneurs across the country.
