According to Главком: On May 15, 2026, in the village of Semypolky, a 45-year-old man was officially notified of suspicion for inflicting grievous bodily harm on his seven-year-old son. The attack occurred during a birthday celebration when an argument between the spouses escalated, leading the mother to leave the children in the father's care. The suspect brutally beat his son, causing a traumatic brain injury, subdural hematoma, brain swelling, and multiple injuries across the boy's body.

Under the procedural supervision of juvenile prosecutors from the Brovary District Prosecutor's Office, the man was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court imposed a preventive measure of pre-trial detention without the possibility of bail. If found guilty, the suspect faces up to eight years in prison. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

Additionally, in Odesa, a woman has been notified of suspicion for injuring her three-month-old grandson while under the influence of alcohol.
