Belgian Woman with One Leg Serves in the Ukrainian Navy: The Story of Anna Zubko

According to glavcom.ua: Anna Zubko, a Belgian of Ukrainian descent, was born with a leg disability, but that did not stop her from serving in the 505th Marine Battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. She initially worked as a volunteer, but after the start of the Russian invasion, she signed a contract with the Ukrainian army.

Anna began her service by helping with logistics and providing equipment for her unit. She is actively involved at the front, where she has encountered the problem of the mass use of drones. After the war, she plans to remain in the army and engage in demining.

Anna Zubko is a vivid example of a freedom-loving and brave woman who does not remain indifferent to important events and is ready to sacrifice for the defense of Ukraine.
