On the night of September 24, drones attacked the Kursk region in Russia. The city of Lgov was struck, causing damage to the energy infrastructure, which led to partial power outages, reports 'Glavkom'. Kursk region governor Alexander Khinshtein confirmed this information, noting that most residents of Lgov and the Lgovsky district were temporarily left without electricity. Locals also report several explosions in the city of Rylsk, where power supply interruptions are also observed. It is noted that the Russian Astrakhan gas processing plant, owned by the energy giant 'Gazprom', stopped motor fuel production following the drone attack. The plant is located near the Caspian Sea, about 1675 km from the Ukrainian border. Recovery of production may take several weeks or months. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that air defense forces repelled the drone attack on the capital of Russia. According to him, seven drones that attacked Moscow were destroyed, and he noted that emergency services are working at the sites, and there was no damage. Additionally, Russian public sources reported explosions in various areas of the city. Meanwhile, earlier drones attacked the Astrakhan gas processing plant on the night of February 3, which actively processes natural gas and gas condensate. As a result of drone attacks on various regions of Russia, the energy infrastructure, gas processing plant, as well as technical and material damage were suffered. Russian authorities have already started responding to the situation and are taking measures to restore the operation of enterprises.
