The government offers the opportunity to receive free social housing for internally displaced persons and their family members. The area of accommodation for one person is 6 square meters, and the selection of candidates is made based on a point system. To do this, it is necessary to contact the relevant authorities with a specific set of documents, including copies of passports, an IDP certificate, and an identification code.
'Since the beginning of the invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, the number of internally displaced persons has significantly increased. The problem with property rights registration may lead to victims being left without compensation for destroyed housing.'
However, it is important to keep in mind that social housing is not subject to privatization and is only provided in difficult situations. The problem is that the registers of damaged property do not always contain accurate information, complicating the process of obtaining compensation.
