Bilan-Rashchuk Refutes Ex-Husband’s Claim About Their Son’s Baptism

Dispute Between Victoria Bilan-Rashchuk and Volodymyr Rashchuk

According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Victoria Bilan-Rashchuk has denied her former husband Volodymyr Rashchuk’s assertion that she unilaterally chose godparents for their son, Yaremchyk. She emphasized that the selection of godparents, as well as the coordination of the church and the baptism date, was a joint decision.

According to her, Volodymyr Rashchuk was aware of both the location and the date of the baptism. The date was set to coincide with the arrival of one of the godparents from abroad. However, after being informed of the date, Rashchuk stopped communicating with Victoria and blocked her.

She also revealed that the godparents included old friends and colleagues from the acting community, as well as Rashchuk’s fellow soldier, who specifically took leave from the front to attend the ceremony.

Volodymyr Rashchuk’s Statements

Volodymyr Rashchuk, for his part, claimed he was not present at the ceremony and had no knowledge of it. He stated:

Rashchuk made these remarks at the end of May, when he also announced the end of his marriage, citing a reevaluation of his life and a new love.
