The Trump Administration Created a Blacklist of Media: Who Made it to Media Offenders
The Trump administration has introduced a new section, Media Offenders, on the official White House website, where lists of media outlets that, in its opinion, spread false information about the president are published. This section includes well-known American publications such as The Washington Post, CBS News, and The Independent, among others.
An important part of the section is not only the indication of the names of the publications but also the names of the responsible journalists, as well as the justification for their inclusion in the 'blacklist'. The idea is proposed to identify the leaders of the list by adding new media outlets that will also be considered spreaders of 'fake news'.
Recently, journalists uncovered bias against President Trump, and he, in turn, publicly criticized some publications for spreading 'fake news'. This administration's innovation could have a significant impact on the relationship between the media and the government in the future.
