Ukrainians made 2.4 billion payments in 9 months: details of the statistics

Ukraine is becoming increasingly active in the use of credit and debit transfers, as shown by the payment market statistics for 2025. Businesses and citizens made almost 2.4 billion transactions through these types of transfers during the first nine months.

All banks and financial institutions in the country provided these services. In particular, over 2.36 billion operations were executed through credit transfers amounting to over 34.5 billion hryvnias within Ukraine. Direct debit was used for 1.8 million operations totaling 10.63 billion hryvnias, a significant portion of which was conducted by individuals and businesses.

Cross-border operations and their features

Ukraine not only actively uses domestic transfers but also receives a significant amount of funds from abroad, primarily from European Union countries, Switzerland, and the USA. In particular, businesses made the most credit transfers from Ukraine under foreign economic contracts amounting to 62.91 billion US dollars in equivalent. More than half of the funds were sent to European Union countries.

Overall, the statistics of payment operations indicate a significant volume of cross-border transfers in Ukraine, reflecting the continuous development of the country's financial market.
