Business Financing via the Affordable 5-7-9% Credit Initiative

According to Мін. Економіки: Last week, entrepreneurs secured 765 new loans totaling 3.2 billion hryvnias under the Affordable 5-7-9% Credit Program. The largest share of this lending-1.134 billion hryvnias, or 35.5% of all new loans issued during the period-went to businesses operating in areas with heightened war-related risks. Since the program’s launch earlier this year, businesses have obtained 26,500 loans amounting to 118 billion hryvnias.

Loan Distribution and Impact

Credit volumes for enterprises situated in high-risk conflict zones have reached 40.5 billion hryvnias, while processing industries attracted 30.6 billion hryvnias. Investment projects received 19 billion hryvnias in funding. In 2026 alone, companies also took out 917 zero-percent energy loans totaling 1.33 billion hryvnias. Since the program began in February 2020, businesses have secured 161,500 loans worth 580 billion hryvnias, with 126,600 loans totaling 490.45 billion hryvnias issued during martial law.

The rising number of loans granted to entrepreneurs in war-affected regions highlights an encouraging revival of business activity amid difficult economic conditions. The Affordable 5-7-9% Credit Program continues to serve as a vital support mechanism, enabling companies to access financing for growth and investment despite ongoing challenges. This financial backing plays a crucial role in laying the groundwork for Ukraine’s broader economic recovery.
