Released on September 14, 2023, this campaign debuted alongside the free 3.0 update, which enhances the game with upgraded visuals and additional features designed to improve the overall experience.
Storyline of Forsaken Kingdom
The campaign explores the fall of Lordaeron following Arthas's arrival, the rise of the Scourge, and the founding of Undercity. Prior to this, the last new content for the Warcraft RTS series was introduced in 2003 with The Frozen Throne expansion. Warcraft 3: Reforged, a remastered version of the classic game, launched in 2020 but faced criticism due to budget constraints and refund issues.
