Medical Tourism in Asia: A Blogger's Guide to Dental Care and Check-ups
Evaluating Healthcare Services Across Asia
According to ХВИЛЯ: In a recent discussion with political analyst Yuriy Romanenko, blogger Andriy Kryndushkin assessed the quality of medical care in various Asian nations and outlined a strategy for affordable visa-free travel via China. He noted that Cambodia is emerging as a serious competitor to Thailand in terms of healthcare quality, citing the availability of local insurance and a high standard of medical service. Kryndushkin observed that while Indonesia offers medical services, they are considerably more expensive and the level of service does not match the European standards commonly found in Thailand.
Travel and Treatment Recommendations
The blogger specifically recommends Vietnam for dental treatment and comprehensive health check-ups, highlighting the country's well-established reputation for dental tourism.
“Vietnam... everyone knows it has a developed dental tourism sector. It offers the most affordable and high-quality dentistry... That's where everyone flies to,” Kryndushkin stated.
He also pointed out that Ukrainians do not require a visa for short-term stays during transit in China, allowing for a 24-hour visit without additional formalities. This insight is particularly useful for Western travelers seeking cost-effective routes to Southeast Asia for medical purposes.
Kryndushkin advises searching for tickets on Chinese airlines, such as China Southern Airways, which offer advantageous routes. Among the possible European departure cities he named were:
- Amsterdam
- Berlin
- Athens
According to him, one potential route goes through Guangzhou to Vietnam or Bali, offering an opportunity not only for treatment but also to enjoy a brief stay in China.
“China Southern Airways, for instance, flies very cheaply from Amsterdam, often via Guangzhou... And then you can consider staying over,” the blogger added.
The conversation about the quality of Asian medical services and flight accessibility is significant for those exploring overseas treatment options. Given that costs in countries like Vietnam and Cambodia can be lower than in many Western nations, this opens up new possibilities for medical tourism. Simultaneously, the 24-hour visa-free transit in China allows travelers to save on visa expenses and facilitates easier regional travel.
