Anetta Barsivna's Fashion Audit in Troieshchyna

According to Главком: In response to the energy crisis that hit Kyiv after the January 24, 2026 attack, blogger Anetta Barsivna-known as the unofficial 'mayor' of Troieshchyna-conducted a fashion audit for the press on February 2, 2026. She declared that safety helmets are not fashionable and urged people to wear fur garments instead. This commentary comes as Kyiv and its suburbs continue to recover from widespread infrastructure damage.

Crisis in the Desnianskyi District

The Desnianskyi district became the epicenter of a public utilities catastrophe following the attack. Approximately 600 high-rise buildings in Troieshchyna were left without electricity, water, and heating after the disabling of the TEC-6 power plant. Desnianskyi District State Administration head Maksym Bakhmatov confirmed the severity of the situation, which requires an urgent solution.

During her performance, Anetta Barsivna remarked:

“What is this? What are you wearing? We don't dress like that here!”

She added that a distinct 'Troieshchyna tribe' has formed, attempting to maintain style during difficult times:

“Everyone here now wears fur, expensive things, gold. That is the real uniform!”

Anetta also commented on the use of helmets, stating, 'A helmet is not fashionable, wear a fur hat!' However, these statements drew criticism from animal rights activists who opposed the use of fur, noting: 'Wearing dead animals is disgusting!' They also emphasized, 'How many poor creatures suffered to make so many 'fur hats'?'

Thus, the situation in Troieshchyna remains complex, and the fashion preferences promoted by blogger Anetta Barsivna have raised questions in society, especially amid the ongoing utilities crisis.

This event illustrates how public figures can influence fashion trends even during serious social and economic challenges. In the context of an energy crisis where many face severe hardship, Anetta Barsivna's fashion advice may be perceived as frivolous and out of touch with people's real needs and struggles. Meanwhile, the criticism from animal rights activists highlights the growing importance of ethical consumption and conscious fashion choices in modern society.
