According to glavcom.ua: Mansur Elmurzaev always dreamed of becoming a warrior, so working on the beach did not satisfy him. He decided to serve in the Rosgvardiya, but his choice did not turn out to be happy as he was transferred to the 'Akhmat-Chechnya' unit and sent to the Kursk region to assist conscripts in defending the border. This story of a captured Akhmat soldier is told by the 'I Want to Live' project, reports 'Glaсkom'.

When Mansur found himself in captivity, he faced neglect from his leadership, who did not want to recognize him as a man and return him home. He was outraged by the words of the commander of the 'Akhmat' squad – Apti Alaudinov, who expressed indifference towards Chechens who fell into captivity and 'strayed from the holy path'.

“I do not understand how one can say such things about their fighters. We did not voluntarily surrender – we were surrounded in Kursk. There were only three of us; the others were conscripts who immediately surrendered,” Mansur stated.

Mansur also addressed the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, with a request to return him and other fighters.

Mansur's sister reported that he is currently in captivity and he has appealed for a prisoner exchange. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that this year, Ukrainian military forces captured the largest number of Russian prisoners of war, including in the areas of Dobropillya and Pokrovska. Additionally, in Kyiv, two prisoners of war from North Korea, who fought on the side of Russia, asked to be transferred to South Korea due to psychological and other problems.

A Ukrainian warrior fell into captivity and faced unfair treatment from the leadership. The essence of the conflict lies in the indifference to the captives and the unwillingness to return them, as well as in the demands for prisoner exchanges. Ukrainian military has succeeded in selecting Russian prisoners of war, and two military personnel from North Korea asked for help in reaching South Korea due to a number of issues.
