Fighting Intensifies on Pokrovsk Front as Invaders Press Their Offensive

Frontline Situation

According to Главком: Combat has escalated on the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole fronts, with these areas remaining the most active flashpoints since the beginning of March. The situation near Huliaipole has also deteriorated, with numerous assault attempts recorded in the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, and Myrnohrad. Russian forces are attempting to press their offensive on the Pokrovsk sector, marking a significant intensification of hostilities in eastern Ukraine.

Over a single 24-hour period, 45 combat engagements were recorded in the areas of Huliaipole, Myrne, Zaliznychne, and Dobropillia. In a sign of continued aggressive intent, the enemy deployed roughly 20 infantrymen in two units to a forest on the northern outskirts of Sviatopetrivka. Fighting is also ongoing in the settlement of Berezove, underscoring the widespread tension along this part of the frontline.

Ukrainian Military Successes

Amid the intensified ground fighting, Ukrainian forces have scored successful strikes against Russian targets. Ukrainian defenders destroyed an enemy Ka-27 helicopter over the Black Sea. Furthermore, a strike damaged the superstructure of the frigate Admiral Essen in Novorossiysk. A fire on the ship's deck raged for approximately 18 hours, during which grenade launchers for firing decoy flares and radio signal dispersers exploded, and the TK-25 electronic warfare complex was damaged. These strikes demonstrate Ukraine's ability to project force and inflict significant losses, even as it defends against a renewed Russian ground push.

Consequently, both the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole directions remain focal points as hostilities intensify. The situation remains highly volatile, indicating the conflict's continued escalation as both sides fight fiercely for strategic positions.
