Briton proposed to his beloved 42 times: when she finally said 'yes'
A resident of the United Kingdom, Luke Wintrip, spent seven years trying to marry his beloved Sarah, but unsuccessfully. According to the man, he proposed for the first time six months into their relationship, but received a refusal from the girl, who believed that they did not know each other well enough.
After the man declared his intentions to marry for the 42nd time, Sarah responded that she would agree next time and kept her word.
Despite the refusals, Luke did not give up. He tried various ways to impress Sarah: renting a castle in Prague, organizing romantic dinners, and taking her on horseback rides along the beaches of Jamaica. Finally, after seven years of living together, the girl agreed to marriage.
Sarah noted that Luke's persistence deserves to have his act included in the Guinness World Records. She emphasized that she is grateful to him for not giving up.
The couple finally got married in Jamaica in May of this year, but the wedding did not go as planned due to Sarah being hospitalized with a severe gynecological infection. Since then, their love story has become yet another example of perseverance in achieving goals.
