He was a junior sergeant and combat medic in an airborne assault battalion, aged 45. A resident of Brovary, Antoshkin was born in Murmansk to a military family. At age 12, his family relocated to Kyiv, and later settled in Brovary. This tragedy adds to the heavy toll faced by Ukraine’s armed forces as they defend the nation’s sovereignty.

Mykola attended school in the Troieshchyna district of Kyiv. After graduating, he enrolled in the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. He served for three years as part of a Ukrainian peacekeeping contingent in Africa. In Brovary, he also played for the local hockey club "Desna." Mykola joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2025, serving as a junior sergeant and platoon medic in an airborne assault battalion.

He fought his last battle on July 3, 2026, while carrying out a combat mission. A farewell ceremony for the defender took place on July 16, 2026, in Brovary. Mykola Antoshkin was laid to rest in the Alley of Glory at the city cemetery. He gave his life for Ukraine. Eternal memory!
