According to ХВИЛЯ: Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, stated in a recent interview that there is a realistic chance the active phase of the war with Russia could conclude in 2025. He noted that while peace talks moved at a good pace in the spring of 2025, all sides have since reverted to escalation, shifting the situation on the battlefield. Budanov firmly ruled out any territorial compromises, declaring:

According to him, Poland is preparing a series of 'immature escalation steps,' but he stressed that Russia remains far more powerful than Poland.
